A separate audio track for Twitch VODs
StreamVi Desktop now supports a separate Twitch VOD audio track. Your live audience and the saved Twitch recording can receive different audio mixes. For example, keep your microphone and game audio in both mixes, while including a separate music source only in the live stream.
Enable VOD support
- Install the current StreamVi Desktop release.
- Close OBS completely, including any remaining window or process.
- Open OBS Monitor from the StreamVi Desktop system-tray menu and choose VOD - Twitch.
- Start OBS again. Open Settings → Output, switch to Advanced output mode if the relevant settings are hidden, then enable Twitch VOD Track and select its track number.
OBS Monitor and its VOD option belong to the Desktop application. They are not available in the ordinary browser Cabinet, and availability depends on the installed build.
Assign audio sources
Open Advanced Audio Properties from the OBS audio mixer. Choose the tracks that should receive each source.
For example, with track 1 used for the live stream and track 2 for VOD:
| Source | Track 1: live | Track 2: VOD |
|---|---|---|
| Microphone | Included | Included |
| Game | Included | Included |
| Separate music source | Included | Excluded |
These track numbers are examples; they must match your Output settings. If game audio and music already share one Desktop Audio source, track assignments cannot separate them.
Before your main broadcast, check both the live audio and a saved recording. A separate track does not automatically enable recording storage or change Twitch's content rules.
See Twitch VOD in StreamVi and the OBS VOD track guide.
