Disconnect protection
When incoming video is lost, protection can temporarily show a placeholder instead of ending the broadcast. Once the source reconnects, StreamVi returns to its video. The outcome also depends on whether the destination platform has kept the event active.
Open Settings → Stream, enable protection and select the waiting period. The current Cabinet shows the allowed maximum, which can depend on the project. The switch applies immediately; the time applies when you release the slider. There is no separate save action.
Choose the connection-loss placeholder and save its selection in the gallery. It is separate from the manual-pause placeholder. See Stream settings for upload formats, processing and limits.
If the source does not return before the waiting period ends, the broadcast ends. When deliberately stopping OBS, check the actual Cabinet and platform states: do not assume source disconnection always ends the event immediately while protection is enabled.
In the lost-connection state, use the stop action offered in the stream panel if you no longer want to wait. Use manual pause for a planned break.
