This is one of the main parameters that determines the quality of the broadcast.
The bitrate value depends on:
- The sites you stream to (you can use transcoding to change the bitrate for each platform). Not all sites can accept high bitrate. You can find out what bitrate different platforms support from the documentation sections located in the left menu.
- Your Internet connection. The bitrate indicates how much data will be transmitted per second. Accordingly, the minimum speed of your Internet should not be less than the bitrate, otherwise frame losses and broadcast lags may occur.
- System performance. The higher the bitrate, the more the broadcast loads your device.
- Resolutions and FPS
- The restream rate on StreamVi
Bitrate control is recommended to choose CBR (constant).
Setting the bitrate in OBS
